Many Shades of Recovery: GENSAT Marks Recovery Month

September is Recovery Month, and this year's theme, "Many Shades of Recovery", reflects an important message for GENSAT: recovery does not look the same for everyone.
Throughout September, women taking part in GENSAT are coming together each week to walk, talk and connect, creating an opportunity to support one another while celebrating the many different paths that recovery can take.
Recovery might mean reducing harm, rebuilding relationships, finding stability, asking for help, or simply taking the next step forward. Sometimes, it can also mean showing up, having a laugh and walking alongside women who understand.
The colourful T-shirts worn by the group were originally created for International Overdose Awareness Day and made at the Cornmarket Project by EPIC Social Enterprise. They felt especially fitting for this year's Recovery Month theme, serving as a reminder that there are many paths, many stories and many shades of recovery.
